Booking Terms

1. Tour Request Reply Email: you'll receive an email that provides all the needed details for your chosen walking tour.
   Including the date, starting hour, number of participants, price, meeting point etc.
2. Tour Confirmation: your tour is only confirmed when the payment is received on our account at least 5 working days before the scheduled date.
   The Genius Walking tours account number for the payment by bank transfer can be found in your tour request reply email.
3. The prices charged by Genius Walking Tours are inclusive the Belgian VAT.

Cancellation

1. A booked walking tour can only be cancelled by means of an email.
2. If the walk is cancelled more than 15 days before the scheduled date, no cancellation fee will be charged.
   If cancelled between 15 and 8 days before the scheduled date: 50% refund.
   If cancelled less than 7 days before the scheduled date, there is no refund possible.
   

No show or late arrival

1. In case you don't show up at the scheduled date and time for your tour, there will be no financial refund.
   Our guide will only be waiting for a maximum of 15 minutes after the scheduled starting hour.

Privacy en cookies

1. Genius Walking Tours handles with care the security about your personal data.
2. When booking a tour and/or asking for info, you grant us the right to send you information about our organisation, walking tours and activities we organise.
   You agree by default to receive informative emails, mailings and newsletters.
   The participants of a tour agree that pictures can be taken during the event and used for marketing purposes.
   In respect of your privacy we will not mention the name or other personal details of the participants, except when agreed in writing by both parties.
   
3. Each participant can provide us with feedback and comments about a tour.
   The partipant agrees that his/her feedback and comments might be published on our website together with his/her first name, date, city and country of residence.
4. Participants of our walking tours can always ask us to delete their subscription to our emails, marketing flyers and newsletters
   We use personal data only for the purpose of which it was collected (e.g. accounting and invoicing purposes).
   We keep personal data no longer than necessary for the purpose of processing for which the data was collected.
   Personal data is not stored in a data base.
5. Cookies: we only use the essential cookies that are strictly necessary for the proper functioning of the website, these cannot be refused.
   Our site does not use targeting cookies, marketing cookies or social media cookies.
   Via the settings of your internet browser you can delete the cookies for the visited websites.
   You can also set via your internet browser, for example, that cookies are not accepted or deleted after closing the web pages.
   Personal information is not passed on to third parties or other commercial organizations.
   

Applicable law

1. Belgian Law is applicable.
   All disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of the juridical district of Ghent.
2. Geniuswalkingtours®, Genius-Ghent®, Genius-Bruges® and Genius-Brussels® are registered trademarks.
